'Plagiarism thought'

In my idea of plagiarism is that someone who doesnt quite sure about the seriousness about that can possibly do so. But I guarantee that sometimes it happens unintentionally.

My point is that I mostly agree about Yamadas ideas on EFL plagiarism. Especially I have also experienced that my previous writing a few years ago to make my writing polished and elaborate even my ideas too narrow to do so. Another point which evokes my sympathy from a Rational Response to Plagiarism is the writing instructors cant be detectives but advisors and helpers. Ive been strongly felt fear for writing itself and being graded. I  agree indeed that my writing will be graded by professor but it is worth to get improved.

Therefore students should take closer look at what plagiarism is and how serious it can be at the right time to be fully aware of that, and be creative without any fear.

  1. Yeojin, I agree with you that plagiarism is a scary thing. I am glad we tackled this issue so quickly in the semester. In the USA, I was educated quite a bit about the ramifications of copying others' work. There may be a cultural difference when compared with the attitude of the Korean public, but I'm not sure. What do you think?

  2. Even myself, not much i'm aware of how it affect. But one thing i know is just not being acceptable. is that all? In my previous tesol couse in Sook-myeong, i've definitely heard about that bad,but it didn't touch my heart than now. I had inform that the work plagiarized would be mark by zero credit which is the most fatal effect to me. As i mentioned, i didn't take that serous at that time, and it's my second time to be aware of that so that i know it should be kept off.
